Autoimmune Disease: My Functional Health Journey

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to share my health and wellness journey with you. As someone who has struggled with chronic health issues, I know how tough it can be. At first, I thought my symptoms were due to the grief of losing my mother to cancer, but over time I realized it was something more.

Autoimmune Disease: My Functional Health Journey

Last March, after gynecological surgery, my doctor recommended that I see an Oncologist, and that's when I had my "Aha" moment, Oprah-style. I knew I needed to make some changes and take better care of myself. So, I decided to seek a Functional Health Doctor who could help me address my health issues more deeply.

And let me tell you, I found the perfect one! This doctor confirmed my Hashimotos and Hypothyroidism diagnosis, as well as Raynaud's Syndrome and other imbalances in my body. But that's not all. I also found out I was extremely vitamin D deficient, which explained my hair loss and weak nails. And after years of infertility treatments, my estrogen levels were through the roof.

It turns out that estrogen stays in your body unless you take something to remove it. That was a wake-up call! Together, my doctor and I developed a personalized treatment plan that involved dietary changes, supplements, and stress reduction techniques. One of the biggest changes I made was eliminating gluten from my diet, which can worsen autoimmune conditions like Hypothyroidism.

It hasn't been easy, but I focused on making one change at a time. Slow and steady wins the race, right? I also started taking supplements to support my thyroid function and reduce inflammation. Let me tell you, these supplements are powerful! I swear by my go-to Vitamin D drop paired with Vitamin K, which helps my body absorb it. And my favorite Omega 3 vitamin keeps me feeling great.

But it wasn't just about physical changes. I also focused on my emotional health, finding ways to process my grief and manage stress through meditation and yoga. This holistic approach has helped me improve my overall well-being and feel more balanced.

Overall, I'm feeling fantastic, thanks to my Functional Health Doctor! This rockstar helped me address my health issues in a way that left me feeling like a million bucks! If you're struggling with chronic symptoms, don't worry, I got you! I highly recommend seeking out a Functional Health Doctor to help you uncover underlying imbalances and create a personalized treatment plan. Why settle for just treating illnesses when you can prevent them altogether? Let's raise a glass to good health and wellness, my friends! Oh, and before I forget, I'm not a medical doctor, but I do want to share a list of symptoms for Hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's, and Raynaud's Syndrome. Trust me, if you're experiencing any of these symptoms, it's time to seek medical advice. You don't have to settle for feeling terrible. No, thank you!
